I shared a sneak peak of the project on my Instagram story last week, and you can see it below if you missed it. I’m loving the new IG stories, its like Snapchat but now its all in one app!
DIY TEA LIGHT HOLDER SUPPLIES:
We had some left over wood from when we had our extended patio railing built that I was able to use for this project. I measured and cut it (with my jigsaw) down to about 36 inches so it would be centered on our dining table. Then using one of the tea lights, I eyeballed where I wanted each of the tea light holders to go. I eyeballed this project all the way, but use a pencil to mark if you want to be precise. With the spade bit, drill each hole about 1/8 of an inch deep. Then, stain your favorite color or paint it. That’s it! This project is so easy and took me about 10 minutes – start to finish.
Because I’m still not quite ready to bring out the fall decor, I added a few stems of faux greenery and wheat. I just slid them under the candle holder. I think they are perfect with my herb prints! I’m still loving simplicity in decorating and hope I can continue it throughout the holidays this year.
This DIY tea light candle holder was such a fun and easy project that can be used all year round and in various rooms of the house.
