Happy Wednesday! I wanted to share a new addition to our dining shelves with you today. This mason jar art is available on Decor Steals this week under “Extended Steals”, so I wanted to do a quick post to show you what I did with mine. The shelving is from Target and it’s one of my favorite purchases.
My original plan was to place the canvas art above my dining shelves and move up my DIY grocery sign. I tried that and it just made everything too high. In fact, it was higher than my kitchen cabinets! I just felt that it was forced and threw off my whole design. So, I tried it above my Decor Steals herb boxes and Little Bits of Everything Inc farm animal art. But, that didn’t look right either. It was too crowded and looked cluttered.
Just as I was about to give up, I had the idea to put it behind my shelves as a back drop. I recently switched up my dining shelf accessories & decor to include all white dishes, glass, or galvanized metal, so I knew nothing would distract from the art and the art would not clash with my existing decor.
I actually love the combination and think its a nice little surprise once you notice it. Plus I was able to keep my grocery sign, herb boxes, and farm animal art.
Have you added any new decor to your home this week? Do you frequently order from Decor Steals? I’d love to hear from you! Share with me on Instagram or Facebook.
Hi! 🙂 I'm new to your blog. You have a beautiful home! I have been contemplating doing the same thing with shelving units in my dining room for the past couple of months and I love the look you've created with yours! Do you mind me asking where you found your shelving?
Hi! Thank you so much! The shelves are from Target online only. Here is the link: http://bit.ly/metalshelves
