Slowly, but surely I’ve been making small changes to our decor for Fall. I’ve been trying to take out all the greenery and replace it with more natural elements and items that represent the season. I wasn’t sure exactly how I would replace my large herb prints in the dining room, but when I received my new metal “gather” sign from Vintage Metal Co I knew it would be perfect!

The birch wood branches are simple, easy, and I can leave them up during Christmas too. I have a smaller set in our entryway to tie all the spaces together. Plus, they’re the perfect natural element for Fall.
My DIY tea light holder from last week is still in the space. I tried it with a table runner, but I love my West Elm table so much I hate to cover up all the pretty reclaimed wood.
I still can’t believe how much this room has changed since last year. A few simple Fall touches this year, compared to full blown pumpkin madness last year. I love both looks, but I gotta tell you – this simpler approach to decorating is so much easier!

I shared this quote on Instagram a few weeks ago and its really stuck with me. It applies to life in all sorts of ways, but I’ve really been applying it in decorating. Save your money for items you truly love, quality over quantity everyday.
