Hi everyone! I just wanted to pop in really quick and share the progress of our new living room design and how it’s coming along so far. Usually here on the blog, I share the reveal and then tell you guys all the details later, but this time I wanted to do something a little different. Just like when I shared my total mess up, I wanna share the progress too.
Our design is for two chairs (his & hers) but you guys are buying these chairs faster than I can and they are always sold out! So we currently only have one chair and are waiting on the other. The chairs are just as comfy as the couch and this new floor plan is so perfect for our little house! I am kicking myself for not doing this sooner!
We still have a few projects to complete this weekend (like getting those tv cords completely hidden 😉 ) and in about a month we will be installing new floors, just like the ones in our master bedroom. After the floors are in, I want to update the baseboards and repaint the walls to a lighter gray.
I seriously love the low backs on the sofa and chair! It allows for more seating without making the room feel crowded and has great sight lines. Once our new floors are in, I’ll be re-thinking the wood on my IKEA console and end table. Our new ottomans are from Costco! Can you believe it? They are big enough for everyones feet not matter where you are sitting. We are definitely those people who always have our feet up when watching tv. Plus the ottomans are where Scooby likes to hang out too.
I have had a few messages and questions about the space plan – and in these photos you can see that there is still plenty of room to walk around without the space feeling cluttered. In fact, this new plan allows us to actually have an entryway now. Before, it was a area that I always hated because it felt too big and like a waste of space. Even with this floor plan, we still have space for the Christmas tree! Yes, I may or may not be thinking about Christmas already. 🙂
Yesterday, I shared in my Instagram stories that I’ve slowly been taking the pressure off myself to hurry and get EVERYTHING done. Working full time and blogging full time really burned me out the last couple months, so I just wanna pop in and share what we’ve been doing so far and I promise I’m not going anywhere!

Love!!!!!
Can you please let me know the name of this sofa? When I clicked the picture, it just took me to the generic Wayfair sofa page. The living room looks lovely!
Sorry! Wayfair keeps changing the name! It was the Cameron sofa!
Beautiful lounge, I like it.
