It’s the fifth week of the One Room Challenge and we are working on our master bathroom. If you missed the previous weeks, check them out for all the design plans, details and what we have done so far!

And a special thank you to all my sponsors – Quality Bath, LexMod, Royal Design Studio Stencils & Lamps Plus!
Wow! It is week five and I AM TOTALLY FREAKING OUT. When I did the One Room Challenge for our bedroom last year, I was completely done by week 5 and felt soooooo accomplished. This time around, not so much. There is so much left to do, with one major update being completely out of my hands – our new vanity top. Dun dun duuuun. I keep being assured by the installers that everything will be completed on time, but deep down I have a bad feeling about it.
So, this week I continued chugging along on my to-do list and completed everything I could. Cue the music to me running around like a mad woman looking for tools & supplies and waiting on paint to dry (insert eye roll here).
I spent one afternoon shopping at my favorite store, Target #duh, for some cute accessories. It was fun and I think I bought more than I needed, but at least I have plenty of options. I also started painting my faux cement tiles again that I shared in week 2. I needed a few more to finish up the wall.
Plus, I FINALLY put up the molding and trim work around our window and started tiling one of the walls.
I’m only about half finished, but I’m loving it so far! I can’t wait to get this room completed. Luckily, this week I have a few extra days off from work and I will be working 24/7 (not really but you know what I mean) the next few days to get this bathroom completed.
Here was my original to do list:
- update shower & fixtures
- install subway tile
install hexagon floor tile- update vanity & sinks
remove builder mirrorand replace with two smaller round mirrorsupdate all lighting- replace and simplify decor & accessories
and a few things that have been added during the project:
new baseboards- new window & door trim
painted doornew door handle- DIY floating shelf
Looks like I can only check off a few items completely, while everything else is almost done or waiting to get finished. Annnnd now I’m freaking out again. 🙂 Wish me luck! There’s a lot left to do!
One room challenge is always fun. I really liked the faux cement tiles and their print also. It is very nice.
