EASILY TRANSITION FROM FALL TO HALLOWEEN
Can you guys believe I spent ZERO dollars on our Halloween decor?! I think the usual for me is to head to the store, see what they have, get inspired, buy it and then decorate. However, this year I wanted to sorta “challenge” myself and use what I have.
DIY DECOR
Mr. Bones made an appearance inside this year, instead of being out on the porch. I think I might need a Mrs. Bones though to complete the dining set up. 🙂 One of my favorite things to do for Halloween is to put up bats, its so easy but makes such a big statement. I made them last year and you can see the tutorial HERE, and I will continue to use them year after year!
PILLOW COVERS
In the corner, I switched out one of the white pumpkins for a modern black pumpkin and added a cute letter board. On the bench, I added black and white pillow covers to our pillows. I LOVE pillow covers, because its so easy to switch them out each season. My favorites are from H&M and most are less than $10!
USE WHAT YOU HAVE & CRAFT SOME MORE
On the dining table, I brought in some black outdoor lanterns and faux pumpkins. For an extra detail, I used book pages and free printables from my friend Chloe at Boxwood Avenue. I did something similar last year for Christmas and you can see the tutorial HERE.

I love being able to decorate for Halloween inside our home as well. I kept it simple enough to where its not overwhelming but still feels like Halloween with just a few changes.

Mom’s got nothing on you in the creativity department, Allison, it may just manifest itself differently with you. I continue to smile as I write this, because your dining room decor looks so festive, even theatric, without looking the least bit fussy. Fantastic job! Cheers, Ardith
