1. keep it simple
Keep it simple and add just a few touches to your decor, like an accent pillow or throw. Keeping it simple will ensure the room doesn’t end up looking too much like a nursery or teenage girls bedroom.
1111 Lightline does a fabulous job adding blush pink to her decor. It’s never overpowering and looks absolutely gorgeous as an accent color in her neutral home.
2. know your pinks
Remember when Shelby in Steel Magnolias talks about her wedding colors being blush and bashful? Her mother comments that they are pink and pink.
But there is definitely a difference in pinks when it comes to adding them to your home. A blush accent chair is much more neutral than a hot pink one. Blush pink and light colors can blend with grays, creams, and tans more naturally and appear neutral in the space. However, hot pink will stand out.
3. add pink with accessories
If you are thinking about adding pink to your home, but are not sure where to start – add it with accessories first, like a simple vase or candle holder.

Iris Nacole did it perfectly in her home, by adding a few small pink accessories to her entryway. Again, it is subtle and not overpowering but still noticeably beautiful.
4. DIY IT
Still not sure about purchasing pink decor? No one ever wants to spend money on something they might not like or are unsure of. How about a small DIY project? Do you have an old lamp, tray or vase? Get some blush pink spray paint and try it out! There are so many options available!

5. ADD PINK WITH FLOWERS
Last but not least, the absolute easiest way to add pink to your home decor is with flowers. This week, I had some pink flowers in the dining room for Valentine’s Day and they were gorgeous! Satisfied my pink fix and didn’t look out of place in our home.

Thank you so much for posting this! 🙂 My daughter LOVES this color and is graduating college this spring, so I wanted to make sure to get all kinds of cute things for her new post-college place. A blessing!
