One of the most popular questions I receive here on the blog and Instagram is “what paint color is on your walls?” Since updating the paint colors in our home, it was time for a new whole house color scheme post. I first shared our home’s paint colors early last year, but now our home looks completely different. The old paint colors were a little bit darker and I wanted something brighter. So, I figured out the perfect modern farmhouse paint colors.
WALLS
Valspar Seashell Gray
Since updating our flooring with the same Modern Oak that is in our bedroom, the walls were screaming for a new lighter and brighter color. Valspar Seashell Gray is the perfect light gray for our home. It doesn’t appear too beige or too blue.
ACCENT WALLS & Trim
Valspar Ultra White
All of the accent walls like our dining room board & batten and paneled wall in the entry, are Valspar Ultra White. Believe it or not, it comes right off the shelf that way! It’s a true white without any yellow tint. All of the door trim and baseboards are also this color.
INTERIOR DOORS
Valspar Filtered Shade
The interior doors are Valspar Filtered Shade. Painting them made such a difference in our home and I also updated them with new hardware.
FRONT DOOR
Valspar New Black
Our front door makes such a statement and is Valspar New Black. Here you can see how well all of the colors work together. It’s the perfect modern farmhouse paint color scheme for our home. I love using black as an accent without it being too dark or heavy, and New Black is awesome!
