Only one week left in the challenge and I am so glad! To be honest, I’m over it. I have been working and painting my life away these last few days. Two coats on the walls, three coats on all the molding and trim, and now I have also decided to paint the ceiling. That will be another two coats!
However, I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel and just can’t wait to put the furniture in place, make the bed, and decorate. I thought about putting the bed together this week so that I’d feel a little bit more productive, but it wasn’t a good idea. The bed would just be in the way of painting and I don’t want to risk getting any paint on that beautiful neutral fabric.
One big thing that happened this week was the lighting was installed! I think it looks great even if it is different and a little funky. In fact, our house got FOUR new light fixtures installed this week, but I’ll share more on that later! You can see in the photo how the ceiling is the old creamy yellowish-white color from our builders. In the photo, it’s not bad but in person and when the sun is shining, the room still has a yellow hue. So painting the ceiling, I hope will get rid of that.
Weekend – finish painting the ceiling and one more coat on door and window trim
Monday – clean the floors, install the rug, and put the bed together
Tuesday – put the console table together, hang the art, and add accessories
Wednesday – photo day, take all the photos and write the final blog post!
Now back to painting!
