Last weekend, I put up our new Christmas tree but with just lights for now. As it gets closer to Thanksgiving, I will add ornaments, garland, etc and finish it up. I love the glow of twinkle lights and just couldn’t wait any longer to start decorating. Each year, I like to look at back at Christmas decor from years past for some inspiration. I also rounded up a collection of some of my favoirte holiday decor! (post contains affiliate links, see disclosure)
This view definetly looks different from last years, now with the built ins, and soon to be finished fireplace. I shared my plans for the built-ins and fireplace earlier this year and months later I’m finally finishing it up. This faux fireplace I built last Christmas confirmed that we defintely needed a fireplace in our home and I’m so glad it’s happening now.
Sadly, our kitchen makeover didn’t get completed this year but I will still be decorating it again for Christmas. Last year, the holiday decor made it feel so warm and welcoming. The perfect place to bake and cook for the season. As always, my village houses will be making an appearance too!
I love having Christmas in our bedroom. Last year it was a simple dark green with black & white accents and the year before was a little more farmhouse with neutrals and linen. I haven’t decided what to do this year yet, but greenery and twinkle lights is a must!
