The biggest trend in 2020 is anything found or vintage! Lamps, wooden stools, textiles, etc. I recently did a little DIY on our entryway lamps and the vase in our dining room. It is an easy DIY, but if you aren’t up for it, keep scrolling because I also rounded up 9 of my vintage vase favorites! (post contains affiliate links, see disclosure)
DIY VINTAGE VASE
SUPPLIES
- existing or thrift store vase
- sanded caulk
- putty knife
- textured spray paint, I used this
STEPS
- Apply the caulk heavily and smear with a putty knife in a random pattern
- Spray paint vase with textured paint and let dry
Yep! That’s it! The process was very similar to my faux cement lamps, except this time I used a different color paint and added more texture with an item I had around the house. My only cost was the spray paint. I love almost free projects! And if you need more of a visual, I have videos of the process saved in my “vase” highlights on Instagram.
9 VINTAGE VASE FAVORITES
one | two | three | four | five | six | seven | eight | nine | I think the secret to a great vase is always the shape. I tried to pick vases similar to the shape of mine and the same color. These are of all different sizes and price points, but equally beautiful.
