Books are definitely an essential decor item and are one of my top ways to style a coffee table. Plus they are pretty to look at too! I’ve seen some beautiful books, but I’m not a fan if they have an orange spine or bright blue lettering. I prefer neutral coffee table books because they can blend in with any decor items or season. So, I’ve rounded up a few of my favorites! (post contains affiliate links, see disclosure)
Beautiful books are a constant source of inspiration for me, a supply for free art around the house, and the first thing I grab when styling a table or shelf. Every time a new book is released from one of my favorite bloggers or designers, I’m already on Amazon pre-ordering it. Most of the time I spend more money on books than I do clothes or shoes during the year. And I have more design books in my Amazon Shop!

The House That Pinterest Built has been on my wishlist for years, and I can’t wait for Amber Interiors and Studio McGee books later this year.
Neutral books are easier to style, but for the ones that aren’t so neutral I just turn the spines or take off the book jackets. I’ve also used chalk paint on a few of them in a neutral color. And for cheap paperback books, I also remove the covers. It makes newer books look more vintage and worn, which is great for styling.
