Every year I try so hard to not buy everything new and use what I have. But sometimes I just can’t resist and I especially love to browse. So, I’ve rounded up all of my favorite neutral holiday decor and sharing a little inspiration from years past. And if you’re busy planning your Christmas decor, this is the post for you! White ceramic houses are my absolute favorite this time of year. Target usually carries them for five dollars each, and every year they look a little bit different. I’ve had mine for about five years now and they remind me of the Christmas villages my mother and grandmother set up every year.
I did have one goal this year of replacing my “cheap” wreaths with more real looking cedar wreaths. I ordered this one from Pottery Barn and this one from Crate and Barrel. At first, I was disappointed with both considering the prices. But then I went to a few big-name craft stores and realized the prices were actually pretty average. Especially for this type of faux wreath.
Still one of my favorite Christmas DIYs – a faux fireplace using wallpaper and scrapwood. We have a more permanent fireplace now and the builtins are in this corner now. But I remember this being the joy of the holiday season that year, and that’s when I knew we really needed a fireplace in our home.
And the year before in this corner was one of my favorite Christmas trees ever. My little Charlie Brown tree. I plan on using it again this year but might modify it a little bit, with a basket and different lights. I also can’t decide if I’m going to use ornaments this year.
