A first here on the blog – a simple Christmas night house tour! Is there anything better than the glow of a Christmas tree at night? I don’t think so. In fact, I love the glow of the Christmas tree so much that I leave the lights on day or night. But once the sun goes down, it’s even better. The glow of the house on these cold winter nights just gives you some kind of wonderful feeling. (post contains affiliate links, see disclosure)
I have the timers set on all my garland and ceramic houses for five o’clock. So, when I get home from work, the house is such a warm cheery welcome. And the glow is perfect. As much as I hate daylight savings time, I guess it’s a bonus when you get a couple more hours of Christmas glow.
Our fireplace is always on too. I love that we can have flames only and no heat. So it sets the mood for Christmas movie night. Spoiler alert – it’s always Home Alone or Christmas Vacation. And next year, I think I need to get battery-operated tapered candles for the mantel. That way they can light up too, and there are no open flames near the tv.
Our dining chandelier is on every night, and it’s so bright that we really don’t need any other lights in the house. And I just love the sparkle of the tree collection. In our bedroom, the glow is so cozy and relaxing. Check out more of the Christmas house tour and other rooms here!
This year there is so much to reflect on and so much to be grateful for. And a lot of those things I took for granted in the past. If 2020 taught me anything, it is to enjoy the simple part of life. A warm home, a full belly, family, and friends. Because that’s really all that matters.
