A few weeks ago, we started one of our first exterior projects and painted our fence. I chose to paint because we had stain already from a few years ago. It needed to be redone and I didn’t want the hassle of removing the stain and redoing it. We picked the perfect mix of grey and beige, so I thought it would be fun to share all of my favorite Valspar greige paint colors. At the end of the post, I also shared a few of my favorite painting supplies and simple tips!
It’s not the most drastic change but really improves the view out our windows! I can’t believe we lived with that horrible fence for years (did a little mediocre Photoshop to hide the back of our neighbor’s house). The color we used was Barnwood Plank by Sherwin Williams (a color already used by our builder) but with Valspar paint. Did you know SW owns Valspar? I think paint brands are just a preference and everyone has their favorite. And any color can usually be color-matched to any other paint brand. But, I’ve always used Valspar and have shared my favorite gray, white, and black paint colors.
FAVORITE VALSPAR GREIGE
- Villa Grey
- Carriage House
- Gracious
- Greyed
- Frappe
- Smoked Oyster
- Gray Silt
- Bay Sands
- Ashen Grey
All of these colors are gorgeous and I seriously love the names! I think it would be so fun to name paint colors. I’m a little partial to Frappe because I love my iced coffee, but it’s beautiful too. Greige colors, just like with any other color, will change throughout the day. Sometimes appearing more grey and others more beige. But that’s the fun part of picking the best color for your home.
Just like with any other paint colors, getting paint samples and testing them out in different areas of the room and at different times of the day is the best way to pick a paint color. And remember, how the color appears online, in someone else’s home, on the swatch, and in the store will not be the same. Get those samples!
