Last year, we had the most casual Thanksgiving dinner and I loved every minute of it. I wanted to continue that vibe this year too and created a neutral Thanksgiving tablescape that is both casual and comfortable, but sophisticated and ready for a traditional dinner. I used items I already had like our everyday dishes and candlesticks. An extra-long table runner is bunched up for a casual vibe and allows plenty of space for food on our rustic dining table. Then, I added faux olive leaf garland for simple greenery. Each place setting is set and ready with plenty of room for serving dishes and pumpkin pies.
I love these white pumpkin serving dishes. They are both functional and decorative and great for serving. The smaller pumpkin dishes, I purchased years ago, but these salad plates are similar. Linen napkins are always a must and I love the knotted technique. It’s easy, looks casual, and also leaves room for silverware if needed.
I can’t wait to recreate this neutral Thanksgiving tablescape! It’s secretly one of my favorite holidays. I love decorating for Christmas and celebrating warm weather in the Spring, but Thanksgiving food with friends and family is the best. Please, pass the mashed potatoes!
