[dropcap]I[/dropcap] have been getting so much done around the house this last week and wanted to share my new hooks for the bathrooms. I was hating our builder grade towel bars and constantly having to straighten the towels. I found these hooks at Target and I shared them in my Target Thursday post a few months ago. Back then I had only bought one pack. Sadly, they are no longer available online but I got lucky and found one last pack in my store.

I was not a fan of the wood color, so I chalk painted them white. There are many different chalk paints out there, but I used what I had on hand and it is the Martha Stewart brand from Michael’s. It’s actually called Vintage Decor paint, but it still gives that chalky consistency. I think it works great and its only a few dollars a bottle. I removed the hooks with a screwdriver to make it a little easier to paint. After they were dry, I distressed them a little with some sandpaper. I reattached the hooks and installed them. The hooks came with a template for easy hanging with drywall anchors and screws.
I only used two in our hall bathroom because the space is so small. Before, when the towel bar was here, it actually went all the way to the light switch and always bothered me because it wasn’t centered. Now I have these hooks centered perfectly and my OCD has been calmed.
In our master bath, I used the remaining four hooks and also centered them on the wall. The four hooks work great here because Joe likes to hang his work clothes for the mornings. So now we have enough hooks for towels and for clothes.
I have a few more DIY projects to complete in our master bathroom and then I’ll be sharing an entire blog post on our master bathroom makeover.

Love that you painted them! Cant seem to find that paint though 🙁
Is it the martha stewart "vintage decor" paint?
Yes it is. I'm sorry I will edit my post for others! Thank you.

love the clock, where did you get it?
Nice and informative post. I am quite your opposite in terms of colors. I am a fan of wood color. Can you suggest which brand can I use for longer durability? I have 3 hooks in my bathroom and they need some color immediately!
