Spring is in the air and I can feel it coming just around the corner. This week we got a lot of much needed rain, but today the sun is shining and feels just like spring. I’m so excited for this month’s Shop the House post. If you haven’t heard, myself and a handful of very talented bloggers have chosen one space in our home to redecorate each month using items we already have in fun and creative ways. With spring on my mind, I gathered almost every piece of faux greenery in our home to create this spring look for my office.
I’m still loving my new office chair from Tov Furniture that I purchased through Wayfair. It’s so stylish and comfortable. Not only is it comfortable, but also very affordable and is similar to a much more expensive chair from Restoration Hardware. Replacing my book art with window frames from Target and adding a boxwood wreath from Decor Steals inspired me to create this entire spring look.
I used boxwood balls from Hobby Lobby, faux succulents from Marshalls, an old lamp from Target, and my books from last months Shop the House. I tried to keep it simple and full of green. The cloches are from H&M Home and Michael’s last year.
Through this challenge I have learned to love the items I have in my home already and what I can do with them. Changing up this space each month has been fun and creative. I think I will continue to challenge myself and have fun with this space every couple months or at least every season.
On the desk I kept it simple with a faux potted plant from Textured Home Decor, a glass cloche, and wooden decorative beads. I usually have my computer here and I work on blogposts and e-designs in this space, so keeping the desk clear of clutter is a must.

What do you think about my home office update? Are you ready for spring? If you want to play along, share your photos and how you shop your house with us on Instagram and use the hashtag #shopthehouse2016. We would love to see!
