This year one of my goals is to share a monthly mood/design board for various rooms of the house. I love creating these and it’s such a creative outlet for me. Plus I hope it can inspire someone else to tackle a room makeover or update. So when a loyal follower reached out and asked me to create a modern traditional nursery design based on another mood board she loved, I couldn’t say no. I created both high and low versions of this design. The high version has furniture and decor items from Crate and Barrel, Pottery Barn, etc. And the low version is more affordable with items from Walmart and Target. I love both equally, and it just shows how easy it is to create great design no matter the budget.
MODERN TRADITIONAL NURSERY DESIGN
olive tree | basket | rocking chair | rug | wood blocks | bunny | crib | bunny art | dresser | storage baskets | lamp | curtains | I am obsessed! This nursery is neutral and sophisticated. The black metal crib is stunning and simple. I love the pattern in this rug and the modern look of this rocking chair. The dresser is also stunning and provides plenty of storage. Plus it can be moved around the house when no longer needed. A true investment piece. Simple white curtains complete the look and provide a bit of softness. The approximate total cost for this design is $6,032.
olive tree | rocking chair | rug | wood blocks | bunny | crib | bunny art | dresser | storage baskets | lamp | curtains | This black crib is convertible and transforms into a toddler bed and then a full-size headboard. This Target dresser achieves the same look as the high-end version without the cost. And the rocking chair is cute too. I love the pattern in this rug and it’s very affordable. Bunny prints from Etsy and my favorite frames are great for affordable art. The approximate total cost for this design is $1,347.
I’d love to see this modern traditional nursey come to life. It’s just so adorable. And I kept the brown stuffed bunny the same in both designs. I purchased one for a friend last year and they are the cutest bunnies ever!
