Lately, I have been really craving a more traditional dining room design in our home. With so much inspiration on Pinterest and Instagram, I’m definitely looking at traditional design differently. I’m not exactly on board with the moody paint colors and darker rooms yet, because they just wouldn’t work in our home. However, adding some traditional touches might just be in the works. I originally created this design board just for fun and now I can’t stop thinking about updating our own dining room. (post contains affiliate links, see disclosure)
TRADITIONAL DINING ROOM DESIGN
One of our first purchases for our home and one of my most frequently asked questions is about our dining room table. It’s one of my favorites and I will never get rid of it. Adding some fabric chairs (also available in cream), new lighting, and a beautiful rug totally changes the design and steps up the traditional look. The art piece is way out of my budget, but a craft project could take care of that. Check out my friend Mindully Gray and her recent DIY art!
I keep creating plans and design boards in my head for when we move to a new house. However, the reality is that we will probably be in this house for a few more years. So I’m going to enjoy it, update what I can, and love my home!
