Continuing on the Christmas House Tour with our kitchen and dining areas! I’ve already shared our front patio, entry, and living room. In these two areas, I kept it very simple and continued the same color scheme of black, white, and dark green. I also tried to follow the design boards I had created and used items I already had in our home. (post contains affiliate links, see disclosure)
Our kitchen is a rare sight here on the blog, but this year I didn’t want it neglected for the Christmas decor. A simple wreath, some greenery, village houses, and a cloche full of cookie ornaments made decorating easy. And I also switched up my letter board with a clever nod to the kitchen. I love using clever kitchen puns on my letterboard and switching it up each season.
In the kitchen, a faux tree works well in the corner without being overwhelming. Then, I added a small village house and Christmas plates. I loved having my village houses in the dining room last year and decided to do it again this year, but added some faux greenery. Setting up the village on cake stands is so easy and something I already had. Adding faux snow and twinkle lights make it feel so festive.
Even though it isn’t the white kitchen I dream of, I’m really enjoying the festive touches in our Christmas kitchen and dining rooms. Baking cookies, cooking our favorite dishes and making memories are what it’s all about.
