It is no secret I love gray and Valspar paint. I never thought I had a specific paint brand that I loved, but over the years I consistently purchase Valspar. It’s affordable and looks great in our home and on our textured walls. Since updating the color scheme in our home, I sampled A LOT of Valspar grays before deciding on the perfect shade, Seashell Gray. Click here to see the rest of the paint colors in our home!
FAVORITE VALSPAR GRAYS
- Seashell Gray
- Filtered Shade
- Summer Gray
- Woodlawn Colonial Gray
- Gravity
- Rocky Bluffs
- Silver Leaf
- Tempered Gray
- Bonsai
Since sampling so many grays, a few of them stuck out as my favorites. Gray is a hard color to find and each color is so different for individual houses. Samples are key! I loved the way Tempered Gray looked in the store and on Pinterest, but in our home, it was very purple.
Some grays can look too purple or too blue. So you’ve got to use those samples to find the perfect one! And If you do find the perfect one for your home, you can also use the same colors from the same swatch. The colors of our walls (Seashell Gray) and the color of our interior doors (Filtered Shade) are on the same swatch. And when I was building our DIY fireplace, I planned on painting it Rocky Bluffs because I knew it would look great in our home. It’s also on the same swatch. So, I know all three of these colors would look great together.
